Yadea EPOC Review Philippines: Price, Range, Economy, Durability and Design

As someone who spends a lot of time looking at motorcycles and electric mobility from a practical rider’s perspective, I find the Yadea EPOC particularly interesting because it is not trying to be just another inexpensive electric scooter. Yadea has positioned the EPOC as a more premium urban electric motorcycle, combining long-range capability, strong acceleration, substantial storage, modern technology, and a design that looks considerably more substantial than many entry-level e-bikes.

After reviewing the available specifications, current Philippine pricing, manufacturer information, and owner discussions, I would describe the Yadea EPOC as an electric motorcycle designed primarily for commuters who want to replace a gasoline scooter for everyday city transportation.

There are some important things buyers should know, however—particularly regarding real-world range, charging, battery technology, pricing, and the difference between laboratory specifications and actual riding conditions.


Yadea EPOC Price in the Philippines


One of the first questions I would ask before considering the EPOC is: How much does the Yadea EPOC cost in the Philippines?

The answer depends on the dealer and version. Current Philippine listings show the EPOC around ₱72,500 to ₱76,000, while another retailer lists a regular price of ₱88,920 with a sale price of ₱76,000. M Lhuillier Financial Services currently lists the EPOC at ₱76,000.

That puts the Yadea EPOC in an interesting position.

It isn't the cheapest electric motorcycle available. There are considerably cheaper electric scooters if your only goal is basic transportation. But the EPOC is also not positioned as a budget scooter. Its larger battery, stronger motor, motorcycle-style suspension and brakes, substantial body, storage capacity and overall equipment explain why it commands a higher price.

For me, the real question isn't whether ₱70,000-plus is cheap. It isn't. The question is whether the EPOC gives enough additional quality and capability to justify the price.

I believe it does—particularly for someone who intends to use it every day.


Yadea EPOC Motor and Performance

The EPOC uses a 2,000-watt rated wheel-hub motor with a claimed 3,200-watt peak output. Yadea lists maximum torque at 150 Nm, a maximum speed of 60 km/h, and a climbing capability of up to 16 degrees.

Those numbers make the EPOC much more interesting than many low-powered electric scooters.

The 150 Nm torque figure immediately stands out. Electric motors can deliver substantial torque from low speeds, which is exactly what a commuter needs when pulling away from traffic lights or climbing an incline.

I would not describe the EPOC as a performance motorcycle, though. Its purpose is urban transportation rather than high-speed riding.

A claimed 60 km/h is enough for many city roads, but riders who regularly travel on high-speed highways may want something more powerful. For ordinary commuting, errands, shopping, school runs and neighborhood transportation, however, the performance should be more than adequate.

There is also an energy-recovery controller that can recover some kinetic energy during coasting, braking and downhill riding. The EPOC offers SPORT and TTFAR long-range riding modes.

In my view, that is a sensible combination. SPORT mode is useful when you want stronger response, while the long-range mode makes more sense when your priority is efficiency.


Yadea EPOC Battery and Range


This is probably the most important part of the entire motorcycle.

The current Philippine EPOC specification lists a 72V 38Ah graphene battery. Yadea claims a maximum range of up to 100 kilometers.

That sounds impressive, but I always recommend treating manufacturer range figures as a best-case reference rather than a guarantee.

Your actual range will depend on rider weight, speed, acceleration, traffic, road elevation, tire pressure, temperature, riding mode and how aggressively you use the throttle. Yadea itself warns that its test figures can be affected by factors such as temperature, wind, load, road conditions and riding habits.

For example, a rider who travels at moderate speeds around the city may get considerably closer to the advertised range than someone constantly accelerating at maximum power.

The battery is also one of the EPOC's major selling points. Yadea says its TTFAR graphene battery is designed for a 1,000 charge-and-discharge cycle lifetime.

Interestingly, Yadea Philippines recently announced a major EPOC product upgrade scheduled for September 2026. According to the company's August announcement, the updated version is expected to switch to a lithium battery and add features including HDC + TCS, more precise battery-level information, and side-stand power functionality.

That is something I would absolutely ask about before purchasing.

If you're shopping for an EPOC right now, confirm with the dealer whether you're getting the existing graphene-battery version or the upgraded lithium-battery model.


Is the Yadea EPOC Economical?

This is where electric motorcycles become particularly attractive.

There is no gasoline engine to feed, no engine oil to replace, and no conventional exhaust system. For a commuter, that can significantly simplify daily transportation.

The EPOC's 72V × 38Ah battery represents roughly 2.74 kWh of nominal stored energy. Actual electricity consumption from the wall will be somewhat higher because charging isn't perfectly efficient.

As a rough example, if electricity costs ₱12 per kWh, a theoretical 2.74-kWh battery would represent about ₱33 of stored energy for a full charge before charging losses. At ₱15 per kWh, it would be about ₱41. With charging losses included, the actual amount could be somewhat higher.

That is still potentially very inexpensive compared with gasoline.

I found one EPOC owner reporting that their electricity bill increased by roughly ₱400–₱500 per month while riding around 35 km daily, although this is only one rider's experience and electricity rates and usage vary considerably.

This is an important distinction: the EPOC can be economical, but your savings depend on how much you ride and how you charge it.

For someone commuting every day, the operating-cost advantage can become meaningful over several years.


Yadea EPOC Design


The EPOC is, in my opinion, one of the better-looking electric scooters in its price category.

Yadea has given it a more substantial appearance instead of making it look like a lightweight bicycle with an electric motor. The body features chrome detailing, a car-grade painted finish and integrated LED lighting.

The dimensions are also substantial:

  • Length: 1,860 mm
  • Width: 775 mm
  • Height: 1,180 mm
  • Wheelbase: 1,300 mm
  • Tire size: 90/90-12 front and 90/80-12 rear

The relatively large wheels and motorcycle-style suspension contribute to its road presence.

The EPOC also has approximately 30 liters of storage space, which I consider one of its biggest practical advantages.

For everyday transportation, storage matters. Being able to carry a helmet, groceries, work equipment or other personal items can make the difference between a scooter being merely interesting and genuinely useful.


Comfort and Ride Quality

The EPOC uses hydraulic shock absorption and front and rear disc brakes. Both wheels use 12-inch tires, with the tires specified as 6PR for improved puncture resistance.

On paper, this is a strong package for city riding.

I particularly like that Yadea did not rely solely on electronic features to make the EPOC attractive. The company has also invested in mechanical components that directly affect the riding experience.

The long saddle and generous foot space should make it practical for commuting, while the larger wheels should provide more confidence than the tiny wheels found on some compact electric scooters.

That said, I would still recommend a test ride. Comfort is subjective, and suspension tuning that feels excellent to one rider may feel too firm or too soft to another.


Durability: Can the Yadea EPOC Last?


Durability is probably the hardest category to judge because the EPOC hasn't been on Philippine roads for as many decades as conventional Japanese gasoline motorcycles.

That means I would be cautious about making claims such as "this will definitely last 10 years."

Yadea emphasizes durability through its TTFAR system, motorcycle-grade suspension, disc brakes, puncture-resistant tires and abrasion-resistant paint finish.

There are also positive owner discussions about Yadea's build quality. In one Philippine discussion, an EPOC owner described the unit as having strong acceleration and good torque, while another owner reported an overall experience of 4.5/5 after regular use.

But I would separate build quality from long-term battery durability.

The frame, wheels, suspension and body panels can potentially last many years with proper care. The battery, however, is a consumable component. Eventually, battery capacity will decline.

That's normal for electric vehicles.

This is why I consider the upcoming lithium-battery version particularly interesting. Buyers should compare the battery chemistry, warranty, replacement cost and availability before making the final purchase.


What I Don't Like About the Yadea EPOC


No motorcycle is perfect, and the EPOC has some weaknesses.

First, the price is considerably higher than basic electric scooters.

Second, the advertised 100-km range shouldn't be interpreted as a guaranteed 100 km under all conditions.

Third, charging is something you have to plan around. Unlike gasoline, where you can stop for a few minutes and continue your journey, an electric motorcycle generally requires access to charging infrastructure or enough battery for your trip.

Finally, after-sales support should be investigated locally. Some Philippine electric-bike discussions mention concerns about the availability of branches and after-sales service, so I would personally choose a dealer with an established service presence rather than simply buying from whoever offers the lowest price.


My Verdict: Is the Yadea EPOC Worth Buying?


After looking at the specifications, pricing and available owner feedback, I consider the Yadea EPOC one of the more compelling premium electric scooters for Philippine urban commuting.

Its biggest strengths are easy to identify:

Strong torque. Large battery. Good claimed range. Useful storage. Motorcycle-style brakes and suspension. Modern design. Low running costs.

The 72V 38Ah battery, 2-kW rated motor, 3.2-kW peak output, 150 Nm torque and claimed 100-km range give it enough capability for serious everyday transportation.

At around ₱72,500–₱76,000 depending on the dealer and current offer, it isn't a throwaway purchase. But if you're replacing a gasoline scooter and riding regularly, the potential savings in fuel and routine engine maintenance make the economics much more interesting.

My biggest recommendation is to check exactly which EPOC version you're buying in 2026. Yadea Philippines has announced an upcoming lithium-battery upgrade and additional electronic features, so the version available at the dealership can make a meaningful difference to the buying decision.

As a vehicle critic, I wouldn't buy the Yadea EPOC simply because it's electric. I'd buy it because it offers a reasonably complete package: useful range, strong low-speed performance, good equipment, substantial storage and a design that feels like a proper motorcycle rather than a basic electric bicycle.


My overall assessment: 8.5/10.

For city commuters, daily errands and riders who want to reduce gasoline expenses, I think the Yadea EPOC deserves serious consideration. For riders who frequently travel long distances at highway speeds, however, I'd look at a more powerful electric motorcycle or a conventional gasoline motorcycle.

The EPOC's greatest strength isn't outright speed. It's the combination of practicality, economy, comfort and electric performance—and that's exactly what makes it interesting as an everyday Philippine commuter.
