OPPO Find X9 Review: Price, Key Features, Camera, Design, Battery and Everything You Need to Know

As a smartphone critic, I have learned that flagship phones are no longer judged by one specification alone. A great processor is not enough, a high-megapixel camera is not enough, and even a huge battery does not automatically make a phone excellent. What matters is how all of those pieces work together in everyday use.

That is why the OPPO Find X9 caught my attention. It combines a flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, a Hasselblad-enhanced triple-camera system, a massive 7,025mAh battery, 120Hz AMOLED display, 80W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. In the Philippines, the official launch configuration is the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model, priced at ₱69,999.

After looking closely at its specifications, design, camera system, performance, battery, software, and Philippine pricing, I can say that the Find X9 is clearly designed to compete in the premium flagship category.

OPPO Find X9 Price in the Philippines

Let's start with the question most buyers will ask: How much is the OPPO Find X9?

The official Philippine price for the OPPO Find X9 16GB + 512GB configuration is ₱69,999. It is positioned firmly in the premium flagship segment rather than the upper mid-range category.

That price initially sounds expensive, but I think the memory and storage configuration is important context. You are getting 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, which is a generous combination for a flagship smartphone.

Globally, OPPO announced additional Find X9 configurations, including 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants, depending on market availability.

For Philippine buyers, however, the 16GB + 512GB version at ₱69,999 is the configuration to focus on.

Design: Premium Without Being Excessively Large

One of the things I appreciate about the OPPO Find X9 is that OPPO did not make it unnecessarily enormous.

The phone measures approximately 156.98mm tall, 73.93mm wide and 7.99mm thick, with a weight of around 203 grams. It has a 6.59-inch display, which gives me a good balance between screen size and one-hand usability.

The design uses a flat-edged frame, a glass back and a refined matte finish. OPPO offers the Find X9 in finishes including Titanium Grey, Space Black and Velvet Red, although color availability can vary by market.

The rear camera module is also noticeably different from the previous generation. Instead of the centrally positioned camera design seen on earlier Find X models, the Find X9 places its camera system toward the upper-left portion of the rear panel. Reviews have noted this change as one of the most obvious visual differences from the Find X8.

Personally, I think the overall design looks more mature than flashy. The matte finish also makes practical sense because it helps reduce visible fingerprints.

Another major advantage is durability. OPPO says the Find X9 series carries IP66, IP68 and IP69 protection, giving the phone resistance against dust, water immersion and powerful or high-temperature water exposure.

That is something I increasingly expect from a flagship costing around ₱70,000.

6.59-Inch 120Hz AMOLED Display

The Find X9 uses a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 2760 × 1256 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel offers a high pixel density of roughly 460 pixels per inch.

The 120Hz refresh rate is particularly important for everyday use. Scrolling through social media, browsing websites, moving through menus and playing supported games all benefit from the smoother animation.

OPPO also advertises very thin symmetrical bezels measuring approximately 1.15mm, creating a screen that feels almost edge-to-edge. The global Find X9 specifications also list very high peak outdoor brightness, making the display better suited to bright environments.

From a critic's perspective, this is exactly the type of display I want on a premium phone: high refresh rate, strong AMOLED contrast, high resolution and minimal bezels.

Dimensity 9500 Performance

The processor is another major reason the OPPO Find X9 belongs in flagship territory.

Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, manufactured using a 3nm process. OPPO worked closely with MediaTek on performance and power management, while the phone also incorporates a customized vapor-chamber cooling system.

The processor uses an all-big-core architecture, while graphics are handled by Arm's G1-Ultra GPU.

In practical terms, this is a phone designed to handle demanding workloads. App switching, photography processing, 4K video recording, gaming and multitasking are all areas where a flagship processor matters.

Independent testing has also found the Find X9 capable of handling demanding games smoothly, with thermal management helping maintain performance during extended sessions.

With 16GB of RAM, I also see plenty of headroom for multitasking. For someone who keeps numerous applications open, edits photos and videos, or wants to keep the phone for several years, the memory capacity is reassuring.

Triple 50MP Hasselblad Camera System

Photography is arguably the biggest reason to consider the Find X9.

The rear camera system consists of three 50MP cameras:

• 50MP main camera
• 50MP ultra-wide camera
• 50MP periscope telephoto camera

The primary camera uses a Sony LYT-808 1/1.4-inch sensor with an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization. The telephoto camera uses a Sony LYT600 sensor and offers 3x optical zoom, while the ultra-wide camera supports autofocus and macro photography.

As a smartphone critic, I prefer this approach over simply increasing megapixels. A good smartphone camera needs a strong sensor, quality optics, stabilization and computational photography—not just a large number printed on the specification sheet.

The 3x periscope telephoto is particularly useful. It provides a meaningful optical-zoom perspective for portraits, travel photography, events and distant subjects without immediately relying on digital zoom.

Video Recording Is Also a Major Feature

The Find X9 is not only aimed at photographers.

OPPO says the Find X9 series can record video at up to 4K 120fps in Dolby Vision, while professional users can take advantage of LOG recording and ACES support.

That makes the phone more interesting for content creators.

For me, LOG recording is particularly significant because it gives experienced video editors greater flexibility when color grading footage. It is not a feature every casual user needs, but for creators who want to incorporate smartphone footage into a more professional workflow, it can be valuable.

7,025mAh Battery: One of Its Biggest Advantages

Battery life may actually be one of the Find X9's strongest selling points.

The phone packs a huge 7,025mAh battery while maintaining a thickness of only about 7.99mm. OPPO uses its third-generation silicon-carbon battery technology to achieve the large capacity.

Charging is also fast.

The Find X9 supports:

• 50W wireless charging
• 10W reverse wireless charging

That means the phone is not simply designed to last longer; it is also designed to recharge quickly when necessary.

Independent testing has demonstrated strong endurance. One Philippine review reported more than 20 hours in its PCMark battery test, while another testing outlet recorded about 16 hours under its own methodology. These differences show why benchmark results should be treated as testing references rather than guarantees of identical real-world battery life.

In normal use, however, the combination of a 7,025mAh battery and an efficient 3nm chipset gives the Find X9 plenty of endurance potential.

ColorOS 16 and Android 16

The software experience is based on ColorOS 16 and Android 16.

OPPO has introduced a smoother animation system through its Luminous Rendering Engine, along with AI-powered tools such as AI Mind Space, AI Recorder and AI Portrait Glow.

The Find X9 is therefore not simply about hardware specifications. OPPO is also trying to make the phone more intelligent and interconnected.

O+ Connect is another interesting feature because it expands connectivity between the smartphone and computers, including Windows PCs and Macs. OPPO says users can transfer files and remotely interact with their computers using the phone.

For people who use their phone as part of a larger work setup, this can be more useful than another benchmark improvement.

Storage and Connectivity

The Find X9 uses UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM, with configurations available internationally ranging from 256GB to 1TB depending on the market.

The Philippine configuration provides 512GB, which I consider a sensible amount for a flagship with this camera and video capability.

Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC and USB-C, depending on regional specifications.

There is also an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers, adding to the flagship experience.

My Verdict as a Smartphone Critic

After examining the OPPO Find X9 as a complete package, I see a smartphone that is trying to solve several flagship-phone problems at once.

It has a premium but relatively manageable design, an excellent 120Hz AMOLED display, a flagship Dimensity 9500 processor, generous 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, a versatile triple-50MP Hasselblad camera system, professional-oriented video features and an unusually large 7,025mAh battery.

The ₱69,999 Philippine price is undeniably a premium asking price, but the hardware package explains why OPPO is positioning it alongside other high-end flagship smartphones.

What impresses me most is that the Find X9 does not depend on a single headline feature. Its appeal comes from the combination of camera performance, battery endurance, processing power, display quality and charging technology.

If photography is your priority, the Hasselblad-tuned triple-camera setup is a major attraction. If battery life matters most, the 7,025mAh capacity is one of the phone's standout specifications. And if you are a power user, the Dimensity 9500, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage give you plenty of performance and capacity.

The OPPO Find X9 is therefore more than just another high-spec Android phone. It is OPPO's attempt to create a balanced flagship—one that can function as a camera, gaming device, productivity tool and everyday smartphone without making major compromises in any single area.

For me as a smartphone critic, that balance is ultimately what makes the OPPO Find X9 interesting. The specifications are impressive on paper, but the real story is how OPPO has combined them into one device. At ₱69,999, it enters a highly competitive flagship market, but it brings a distinctive combination of Hasselblad photography, massive battery capacity, fast charging, premium construction and flagship performance that gives it a clear identity.
