The Most Powerful People in the World

You might wonder today as who are the most powerful people in the world. Wonder not 'cause we took the liberty to research and share them with you ;-) They’re all featured on Forbes’ 2012 ranking of the World’s Most Powerful People if you're thinking what do the president of the United States, the Pope and the founder of Facebook all have in common? Forbes' 2012 ranking is an annual look at the heads of state, financiers, philanthropists and entrepreneurs who truly run the world. They have considered hundreds of candidates from various walks of life all around the globe to compile the list, and measured their power along four dimensions. First, they asked whether the candidate has power over lots of people. Pope Benedict XVI, ranked fifth (5th) on their list, is the spiritual leader of more than a billion Catholics, or about 1/6th of the world’s population. The elixir of life, -well, I don’t suppose you believe in such a thing, also known as elixir of immortality and sometimes equated with the philosopher's stone, according to Wiki, is a legendary/mythical potion, or drink, that grants the drinker eternal life and/or eternal youth. You might have watched about it somewhere, or you might have read it on a book. Many practitioners of alchemy pursued it. The elixir of life was also said to be able to create life. It is related to the myths of Thoth, and Hermes Trismegistus, all of whom in various tales are said to have drunk "the white drops" (liquid gold) and thus achieved immortality. It is mentioned in one of the Nag Hammadi texts. The elixir of life, as the text revealed, will give you the ability not to age, not even a bit. Immortality as what those philosophers say.
