Warriors Rise in the Play-In: How Golden State Outplayed the Clippers and What Awaits Against Phoenix

Image
I watched the intensity unfold as the Golden State Warriors took on the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2026 NBA Play-In Tournament, and from the opening tip, it was clear this wasn’t just another high-stakes game—it was a battle of composure, execution, and experience. By the final buzzer, the Warriors had done enough to secure the win, punching their ticket forward and reminding everyone why their championship DNA still matters. From my perspective, the Warriors didn’t just win because of talent—they won because they controlled the game in key moments. One of the biggest factors was the leadership and shot-making of Stephen Curry. Every time the Clippers threatened to build momentum, Curry responded with either a deep three or a perfectly timed play that shifted the energy back to Golden State. His ability to stretch the floor forced the Clippers’ defense to extend, opening up opportunities for his teammates. Another key point I noticed was the Warriors’ ball movement. Unlike the Clipper...

Steph Curry’s Sneaker Free Agency: Nike vs. Adidas—and what it means for basketball

Image
Stephen Curry’s split from Under Armour turned the shoe world upside down. On November 13, 2025, Under Armour and Curry announced they would separate Curry Brand from the company—effectively making Curry a marquee “sneaker free agent” with his own brand to take in whatever direction he chooses.  That new reality has ignited intense speculation: will Curry link up with Nike again (the brand he passed on in 2013), sign with Adidas, form a strategic partnership, or push Curry Brand as an independent global outfit? Several outlets have already named Nike and Adidas among the likely suitors, and footwear trade press notes multiple brands circling the opportunity.  Here’s why Curry’s next move matters far beyond endorsement dollars. 1) Market dynamics — a high-stakes reshuffle Curry is not just a superstar athlete; he’s a cultural and commercial amplifier. If he partners with Nike, the deal would reinforce Nike’s dominance across basketball (and renew a relationship that gave rise t...

The End of an Era: Stephen Curry Parts Ways with Under Armour

Image
In November 2025, Stephen Curry and Under Armour officially announced the end of their long-standing partnership — a relationship that fundamentally shaped both Curry's off-court brand and Under Armour's basketball identity. The split marks the conclusion of more than a decade of shared growth, and sets the stage for a new chapter: Curry Brand will now operate independently, with Curry assuming full ownership and control.  Under the agreement, Under Armour will still release the Curry 13, slated for February 2026 — but it will be the final signature shoe in their collaboration. After that, additional colorways and apparel collections will continue through October 2026, after which the separation becomes complete.  Why the Split? Strategic Restructuring Meets Long-Term Vision The decision emerges at a critical juncture for Under Armour. The company is going through a major restructuring effort, refocusing on its core business amid declining sales and profitability challenges. F...
