You might be wondering if it's too good to be true, well it's not! There are reports from China blogs that claims a small batch of 64 GB iPhone 4 prototype was discovered at the 'grey' market in Hong Kong.
The 64 GB model appears to be unlocked and running iOS 4.1 as confirmed by MIC gadget.
MIC gadget posted some photos of the phone's exterior and shows a lot of X's printed on its case. As cited, it's model number is 'XXXXX', its FCC ID number is 'BCG-XXXXXX' and its capacity is 'XX' GB.
When Macrumors analyze those serial numbers, they found out that the phone was produced in early 2010, it predates the launch of the iPhone 4 in June 2010.
If this is the case, it suggests that Apple abandoned the idea of launching the iPhone 4 with 64 GB capacity. In June 2010, Apple unveiled the iPhone 4 versions with just two different storage capacities instead, the 16 GB and 32 GB.
However, this does not suggest that the Apple won't reveal the unveiling of the 64 GB version of the iPhone 4 in the near future (or it may be an iPhone 5 as MIC gadget speculates).
Meanwhile, when Apple release the iPhone 4 in the market in June 2010 in great fanfare, one of its criticism besides the price was the lack of the third option with more storage.
Cheerio ^_^
