Audi e-tron
Electric car powered with rear drive. This concept car took its debut at Detroit wearing slinky metal over tidier-than-TT proportions. Sad to say, this e-tron is not scheduled for production, unlike the R8-esque EV of the same name. It's design - the aspect we like most - portends that of Audi's upcoming R4. Might want it topless, well, they have that version which uses diesel-electric hybrid powertrain in Paris.
Citroen Survolt
Could there been a silent racing? Think again! This Survolt was shown in Paris was later given its twin electric motors generating 300 horsepower. In less than five seconds, it can run from 0 to 62 mph and a top speed of 162 mph, well according to Citroen. The company also claims that at a slightly lower speed, it can run up to 124 miles.
Deltawing Concept
This sleek design was created by Ben Bowlby (the former Lola design chief and former Ganacci Racing tech director), this was the design to push for a 2012 IndyCar Chassis. The shape alone can produce a huge amount of downforce even without its wings and spoilers, it's supposed to be immune with turbulence in close quarters. Introduced at Chicago, it gained the support from Robert Penske and Chip Ganacci. Though the modular Dalarra design ultimately won the IndyCar's affection.
GMC Granite Concept
A concept made by GMC that is not the rebadged Chevrolet. A small yet enough power to blow your mind. Introduced at Detroit, then after, it became famous at the show-circuit. Will it mass produce in the future? They tend to keep that at secret; the challenge will be preserving the pillarless design and easy access raer doors.
Jaguar C-X75
Electric powered, captured the hearts of Paris car show audience. This concept augments its batteries with a range-extending power source. Moreover, it has two gas turbines. Its top speed is 205 mph, well, according to Jaguar, they claim such top speed.
Lancia Stratos
You think concept cars will give its debut at car shows? Well, this Lancia was introduced while having its brutal attack on Italian test track. It has its faithful appearance to Bertone's 1972 homologation special, the revival Stratos sports a V-8 derived from the Ferrari F430 Scuderia's but have a better power-to-weight ration than Enzo's. You want them to build you one? Yeah they can - for a price!
Peugeot SR1
First seen at Geneva! This hybrid GT concept, besides its sculpted shape, has a couple of unusual features: it's third seat is centered and a wristwatch that stows in its own dashboard slot. Sorry to tell that its design won't see production, though its internal-combustion/electric propulsion system will appear in the Peugeot 3008 hybrid4 crossover.
Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta
Besides giving tribute to the Alfa Romeo's Centennial, they build this car in celebration of Pininfarina's 80th anniversary. It was introduced to Geneva. Don't worry if you find it hard to pronounce, you're not the only one, might consider it as a tongue twister. Just think of 'Duetto' instead. We'll send a message to Fiat that if you want to save Alfa and you're serious about it, you have to build this car!
Porsche 918 Spyder
This Porsche 918 Spyder trumps all cars known to the world of car shows when we talk about the hybrid concepts! With its four driving modes and performance potential and it rivals the popular Carrera GT. This car wouldn't be appreciated without its engine, a 500 plus horsepower, 3.4 liter V-8, augmented by a trio of electric motors. Will they put this into production? They sure are as they confirm its production but of course with an astonishing price tag!
Renault Dezir
Does green and being sexy exclusive? Well the proof is given by this two-seater which uses Nissan-Renault electric power train technology. Dezir's apperance will be the basis of the future of Renault's design. It's scissors doors - one rear-hinged, one front - surely attracts all eyes at the car show at Paris! You have not witnessed its interior surely you'll fall in love with, it was inspired by the idea of an 'amorous encounter' and the 'coming together of opposites'.Finding it hard which car you should hit the streets with? I don't envy you at all, just have your pick! Who knows, you'll be driving one of these one day ^_^
